Come To Italy

For this task we had to ask our partner what there dream holiday was and then we had to take a photo of ourselves and then we had to edit the photo and paste it into a picture of their dream location. My partners dream location was Italy. I don't have that good editing skills but it's good enough for me. The thing we used to edit the photos is called PIXLR X.  We did this task around two to three weeks ago it's just I forgot to post it. I also adjusted the image of myself and I also adjusted the background image.

Digital Coloring

For manaiakalani this week we had to recolor a picture on the site Art Coloring Book. I chose this watermelon won as you can see. Most of the art on Art Coloring Book is famous. I think the original art is much better than mine because there is much more detail than when you recolor the image. I also messed up the shading on the man on the right because I shaded his nose blue without realising until now. Even though I had a mistake I still quite like mine.

Real Or Fake?

 Is it real or fake? You decide. 

This is obviously real but you can chose if you believe me or not. This is Trump Wazowski. This week in manaiakalani we learnt about fake news and we had to create our own fake news. My friend and I decided to merge Mike Wazowski and Donald Trump together. Donald Trump is the face and Mike Wazowski is the body. We used google drawings to make this. We used remove.bg for Donald Trump and then we cropped his body. We also made Donald Trump's face a light transparent green to match Mike Wazowski's  skin tone. Mike Wazowksi already had a transparent background so we didn't need to do anything to him.

Persuasive Essay

We had to write a persuasive and descriptive essay. I chose to write my piece on why gaming should be in the olympics in 2021. I enjoyed getting all the information to write my piece for my essay. I found it challenging to write a good amount of writing because it's only about one topic all throughout the writing. But luckily I managed to finish it. I found it easy to pick the background colour because I really like the color combination between the two blues.

Pukeko Knows The Answers

What We Did

In class today we had to create an educational based game to teach maori using piskel, scratch and Tipu in schools. My first and only Idea was to do a Pukeko and I think it looks quite cool. I really enjoyed coding my sprite to cry if you got the question wrong and also coding it so confetti would appear around the Pukeko if you got the question right. I found it difficult to transfer my sprite into scratch and thats only because it had a transparent background. Luckily I solved that problem by downloading my sprite on Piskel instead of just taking a screenshot of it. Next time I think I should make the Pukeko actually move it's mouth when it talks because I think it would add a more realistic kind of perspective.

Tipu In Schools

There is a app we discovered last term called "Tipu in schools". It helps you learn Maori. In our class we all got a journal to write down our Maori notes. In one of my pages in my journal someone wrote "Hi Larz". In pen highlighted in blue highlighter  so I had to rewrite that whole page. Which was quite frustrating. We usually do it in our literacy block. I recommend it. But it does cost money so not everyone can get it.

What We Did

Isaac, Hunter and I made a Sharp task dedicated the the story we read. This was meant to be on my blog a while ago it's just I forgot to post it. Something I thought was fun in the making of the video was the acting part because its was fun to put on a voice and have different names and stuff. I also found it fun that we could put humour in the story. Like when I dropped the mike because it's the news where everything is breaking and then I quit. And also like when Isaac said "Hi mum" at the end. Something. I found it challenging to write because we were outside so I had to write it on my lap and I was frustrating.
