I enjoyed writing the information and making up the animal.
What I found challenging was drawing the animal that I created.

Watermelon Poem

Watermelon
Round green shape with a zebra pattern,
Taste’s cold,sweet and juicy,
Smells like fresh green grass walking over the watermelon,
Feels smooth on the outside and soft on the inside,
Crunchy as I bite the watermelon,
Juiciness filling my mouth.

Exciting Camp Kaitawa

Exciting Camp Kaitawa
We have been focused on using descriptive language.
1. Raft Building and swimming
2. Kayaking
3. Obstacle course
Excitement went down my chest as I waited patiently
for an extruction. I was putten in a group my group
was doing raft building first. The adults were my
making a raft for us. But when they finished the girls
said it was there raft. So 2 adults rushed the boys one.
I thought it was pretty good but when we put it in
the water and started to paddle sadly it broke. But then
we got to have a swim. I jump in the water it was so
deep but everyone had to where a life jacket so
we were safe. The water was freezing chills went down
my spine.

After a hour and 20 minutes we swapped over. My group
was kayaking Cohen was my buddy. We had to paddle
to Mr Barclay he told us we had to jump
out of our kayaks
and get back in while your buddy makes sure the paddles
don’t full out of the kayaks then you swap over. Also it was
very deep water.
Nervously I stood up and… jumped I quickly got back in
the kayak I said that wasn’t so bad in fact it was easy. It was
Cohens turn he stood up and jumped he struggled to get back
in the kayak because he hit his foot. I yelled to Mr Barclay he
came over and Cohen’s Dad came over Mr Barclay and
Cohen’s Dad helped him get back in the kayak. I did it about
3 more times then Cohen jumped out of the kayak and the
same thing happened his Dad and Mr Barclay
helped him get back in the kayak.

It had been a hour and 20 minutes already so we had to swap over my group was doing the obstacle course. My group started to do it we had to jump stone to stone quite a lot of times without touching the grass it was difficult. Then you had to balance on this log then there were monkey bars that I was quite good at because I did them fast. Then you had to climb over a wooden thing. Then you had to go over another wooden thing and then over and under tyres. Then you had to walk across this log tied up so it was wobbling. Then you had to go over a tall net it was hard to do it without falling but I had a good grip so I did not fall. Then you had to go down a small hill that lead to a wire type rope thing it hurt your feet if you did not have shoes on. Then you had to use a rope to get back up a small hill that lead to the middle of the obstacle course then it was the end.
