Destructive Tsunamis

Destructive Tsunamis
Did you know that Raz-de-maree means in english
violent rising tide.

How it happens?
  • Tsunamis are caused by sudden movement of the ocean due to the earthquakes.
  • They are also caused by landslides on the ocean floor.
  • The top of a underwater Volcano
  • may collapse downwards and make a Tsunami.

Maori connection
The Maori god of the sea in Tangaroa. In Maori
Tsunami is Te ngaru.

How to get through it?
Hold onto sturdy furniture. Crawl only if you can
reach better cover. But do not go through an area
with more debris.

Example of impact on NZ

In 1947 there was a big Tsunami
in Gisborne. The Tsunami broke a bridge. It was
about 10 metres high.

Other interesting trivias
Tsunamis are mostly at the pacific ocean.Tsunamis
can travel about 10 miles in land.
Conclusion
쓰나미 in Korean that means Tsunami.
Цунами in Russian that also means Tsunami.
I think you should he’d to the highest,
ground you can before a Tsunami comes.
